Drama Recommendation
Twelve Letters: This is a fantastic drama. Don’t hesitate to skip any of the brief abuse parts. The end of episode 8 is amazing and will have you reaching for a tissue box.
Pursuit of Jade: This one is worth watching two or three times to catch all the subtle details. Watching some behind the scenes footage and hearing from the director, adds to the enjoyment of the drama.
Yumi Cells 3: This drama is nothing groundbreaking, but a good little show to fill the drama gap, as you recover from a drama you loved.
Serenade of Peaceful Joy (Eunuch and princess part): From about episode 40 or so, the subtle romance between these two begin to unfold and you can skip to the scenes relating to them, and watch it as a little stand alone story. It’s a very moving story and your heart aches for them.
Love for You: I’m about a third way in, and I must say this is a decent drama. The acting is better than expected, and the city adds a satisfying grittiness to the story. The comedy falls short and the production relies on little “humorous sounds” to let us know a scene is supposed to be funny– a cue that is needed at times, since it seems like a normal scene. The director put a lot of effort into camera work and making the most of emotional charged scenes. They go all out with locations, something that I rarely see in contemporary dramas.
